Sapporo Art MuseumTheo Jansen Exhibition

Theo Jansen, a Dutch artist, creates “Strandbeests” or “beach animals” which feed on wind and walk the coastline of Holland. Despite being made up of artificial components, these kinetic sculptures make smooth, organic movements making you feel like they are real animals. This exhibition will showcase the world of Theo Jansen, and in addition to actual Strandbeests, will also show how they move and have evolved.
