Park of eventsLet’s walk by ‘Kanjiki’ around the Sculpture Garden in Sapporo Art Park!

Why don't you walk around Sapporo Sculpture Garden while wearing traditional "kanjiki"?

The clear high blue sky, soft white snow, and the sunlight illuminating the sculptures...

Enjoy a sculpture wark unique to winter.

What are "kanjiki"?

Kanjiki are a kind of footwear for walking on snow which have been used in snowy regions since ancient times.

They are specially designed to prevent your feet from sinking in the snow.

How to apply

Come right to the “Art Park Center” office of Sapporo Art Park (No reservations are accepted).

We will lend you kanjiki and boots (22.5cm or larger) free of charge.

You must go to reception even if you use your own snowshoes or Kanjiki.
